Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of Guard My Social. Please read them carefully before using the Service.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Crafted Visions Ltd ("Guard My Social," "we," "us," or "our"), governing your access to and use of the Guard My Social application and website (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to create a Guard My Social account. If you are between 13 and 18 years of age, your parent or legal guardian must review and agree to these Terms on your behalf, and by using the Service you represent that they have done so.

You must have the legal authority to connect any social media account to the Service and to authorize Guard My Social to take actions on that account on your behalf.

2. The Service

Guard My Social is a companion application that connects to your social media accounts via official platform APIs and provides AI-powered threat detection, behavioral monitoring, and alerting services. The Service is designed to protect your social media experience by detecting predatory, harmful, and abusive behavior patterns directed at your accounts.

2.1 What the Service Does

  • Monitors accounts that interact with your connected social media accounts for behavioral threat patterns
  • Alerts you to potential threats based on behavioral analysis
  • Takes actions (hiding, deleting comments; blocking accounts) on your connected accounts when you authorize it to do so
  • Accepts and processes reports you file about threatening accounts
  • Contributes anonymized threat data to the shared Threat Registry
  • Alerts you when accounts in the Threat Registry interact with your accounts

2.2 What the Service Does Not Do

  • Guard My Social does not report accounts to social media platforms on your behalf
  • Guard My Social does not guarantee detection of all threats or harmful behavior
  • Guard My Social does not constitute legal advice and is not a substitute for contacting law enforcement when you believe you or someone else is in danger
  • Guard My Social does not store or archive the full content of your social media posts or messages

3. Account Registration

To use the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
  • Maintain and update your information to keep it accurate and current
  • Keep your password confidential and not share it with anyone
  • Notify us immediately at info@guardmysocial.com if you believe your account has been compromised
  • Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account

We reserve the right to terminate accounts, refuse service, or remove content in our sole discretion.

4. Connected Social Media Accounts

When you connect a social media account to Guard My Social:

  • You authorize Guard My Social to access that account using the permissions you grant via OAuth
  • You represent that you are the authorized owner of that account or have explicit permission from the account owner to connect it to the Service
  • You understand that Guard My Social will take automated actions on that account (hiding comments, blocking users) when configured to do so
  • You may revoke Guard My Social's access at any time through the app or through the platform's own settings

You are responsible for ensuring your use of the Service complies with the terms of service of any social media platform you connect.

5. The Reporting System and Threat Registry

5.1 Accurate Reporting

When you report an account through Guard My Social, you represent that your report is made in good faith based on genuine concern about the reported account's behavior. You must not submit false, misleading, or malicious reports.

5.2 Consequences of Abuse

We track reporter behavior with the same rigor we apply to threat detection. Patterns of false reporting, coordinated false reporting, or use of the reporting system to harass innocent users are violations of these Terms and may result in:

  • Reduction of your reporting weight (your reports carry less influence in the Registry)
  • Suspension of your reporting privileges
  • Termination of your account
  • Your own account being flagged in the Threat Registry
  • Disclosure to law enforcement where your conduct constitutes harassment or other illegal activity

5.3 Reporter Identity

Your identity as a reporter is stored internally and protected. It is never disclosed to reported parties. It may be disclosed to law enforcement pursuant to valid legal process (see our Privacy Policy, Section 3.4).

5.4 No Guarantee of Action

Filing a report does not guarantee that any action will be taken against the reported account. Reports are evaluated against behavioral evidence in the Registry. We reserve the right to decline to add any account to the Registry if insufficient corroborating evidence exists.

6. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • File false or malicious reports about innocent users
  • Coordinate with others to file false reports targeting a specific individual or account
  • Harass, intimidate, or harm any person
  • Violate any applicable law or regulation
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service
  • Use the Service in any way that could damage, disable, or impair it
  • Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the Service except through our official API where available
  • Impersonate any person or entity
  • Connect social media accounts you do not own or have authorization to connect

7. Subscription Plans and Payment

Guard My Social offers free and paid subscription tiers. By subscribing to a paid plan:

  • You authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis at the rate disclosed at the time of purchase
  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date
  • You may cancel your subscription at any time through the app settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period
  • We do not offer refunds for partial subscription periods except where required by applicable law
  • We reserve the right to change subscription prices with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including all software, algorithms, AI models, designs, text, graphics, and content created by Guard My Social, is the exclusive property of Crafted Visions Ltd and is protected by intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for its intended purpose in accordance with these Terms.

You retain all rights to your own social media content. By using the Service, you grant Guard My Social a limited license to access, process, and analyze your connected account content solely to provide the Service.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT:

  • THE SERVICE WILL DETECT ALL THREATS, HARMFUL CONTENT, OR THREATENING BEHAVIOR
  • THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE
  • ANY RESULTS OBTAINED FROM USE OF THE SERVICE WILL BE ACCURATE OR RELIABLE
  • DEFECTS IN THE SERVICE WILL BE CORRECTED

Guard My Social is a supplementary protection tool and is not a substitute for contacting law enforcement when you or someone else is in danger.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, CRAFTED VISIONS LTD SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF REVENUE, OR HARM ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE TOTAL AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) $100 USD.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of liability for certain damages. In such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Crafted Visions Ltd and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Service; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any third-party right, including any social media platform's terms of service; or (d) your filing of false or malicious reports through the Service.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for any violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our sole discretion.

You may terminate your account at any time by deleting it through the app settings. Upon termination, your license to use the Service ends immediately.

Sections 8 (Intellectual Property), 9 (Disclaimer of Warranties), 10 (Limitation of Liability), 11 (Indemnification), and 14 (Governing Law) survive termination.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email (to the address associated with your account) and by posting a prominent notice on our website at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any dispute arising from or related to these Terms or the Service that cannot be resolved informally shall be submitted to binding arbitration, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in a court of competent jurisdiction for violations of intellectual property rights or for emergency relief.

To initiate informal dispute resolution, contact us at info@guardmysocial.com with a description of your dispute. We will make good-faith efforts to resolve it within 30 days.

15. General Provisions

  • Entire Agreement: These Terms and our Privacy Policy constitute the entire agreement between you and Guard My Social regarding the Service.
  • Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.
  • Waiver: Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of our right to enforce it in the future.
  • Assignment: You may not assign your rights under these Terms. We may assign our rights and obligations without restriction.
  • No Third-Party Beneficiaries: These Terms do not create any third-party beneficiary rights.
